Interleaved 2 of 5 (ITF) Bar Code Symbology

Interleaved 2 of 5 is a linear (1D) type bar code that is a numeric-only bar code that typically results in a bar code that is a little larger than the UPC-A bar code when 12 digits are encoded. This symbology must be encoded with an even number of digits, if an odd number is entered a leading zero is added. This bar code symbology is for numeric-only applications and because Interleaved 2 of 5 is prone to substitution errors, you should always use a checksum (however one is not required).
